         We wish to provide a learning environment that encourages inquiry, stimulates intellectual curiosity, encourages reading for pleasure, and develops a diverse interest for the enjoyment of life-long learning.  Additionally, the Media Center provides and promotes instruction to prepare students to become independent users of libraries and information resources. Our objective is to help students develop information literacy by:
            * ensuring that students can effectively locate, comprehend, analyze, question, communicate ideas
               and information in the pursuit of independence and life-long learning.
            * encourage literary and cultural appreciation
            * nurture creativity
            * promote enjoyment of reading, viewing, and listening.

     It is equally important to support teachers and faculty with resources to enhance their curriculum and meet their instructional needs; thus, providing a climate that ensures teaching partnerships to enhance the school's academic achievement.

LIBRARY SCHEDULE:

* Language Arts teachers bring students to the library to check out books once every two weeks.
* Teachers schedule classes for research on an as-needed basis.
* Students may visit the library between classes without a pass as long as they use their time wisely and are not late
   to their next class (no tardy passes are given).
* Students may obtain a pass to visit the library at any time throughout the day.
